Section 8. The Naked-Eye-Visible Planets. The Naked-Eye-Visible NON-Planetary Bodies are Sun and Moon. The Naked-Eye-Visible PLANETS are:- Mercury, Venus, (Earth), Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus To verify this, here is a scan from the book Teach Yourself Planets by David A.Rothery, published by Hodder Headline Ltd, 2000, page 3; following by text copied and pasted from Wikipedia - search term "Uranus".
Uranus is visible to the naked eye, but it is very dim and moves very slowly relative to the background stars and was not classified as a planet until 1781, when it was first observed by William Herschel.
